Dear friends,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a great pleasure to join you for this very special Founders\u2019 Day Celebration of Afreximbank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, I would like to warmly thank Professor Benedict Oramah for his kind invitation. I sincerely regret not being able to join you in person, due to prior commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, we celebrate the remarkable journey of this great African institution, under the outstanding leadership of Professor Oramah.
Dear Brother Oramah<\/strong>, your vision, resilience, and passion for Africa\u2019s transformation have propelled Afreximbank to unprecedented heights. Congratulations on the well done job. Afreximbank   stands today as a true engine of Africa\u2019s development and integration. We are proud of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also wish to pay a heartfelt tribute to my compatriot, the late Babacar Ndiaye, former President of the African Development Bank, whosepioneering spirit and commitment have been instrumental to the creation of Afreximbank.  I also salute all our elders who participated in this wonderful journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme of our gathering, \u201cThe Future of Africa\u2019s Development Finance Amid Global Turbulence\u201d<\/em>, is both timely and crucial.
Indeed, in a world so much troubled by rising protectionism and geopolitical tensions, Africa needs more than ever strong, innovative, and resilient financial institutions like Afreximbank to drive sustainable growth, foster trade, and unlock the full potential of our continent. As we celebrate the past, let us be united and look boldly to the future, building on our collective strength, our talent, and our faith in Africa. I wish you every success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Avant tout, je souhaite remercier chaleureusement le Professeur Benedict Oramah pour sa gentille invitation. Je regrette sinc\u00e8rement de ne pas pouvoir \u00eatre parmi vous en personne, en raison d\u2019engagements pr\u00e9alables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aujourd\u2019hui, nous c\u00e9l\u00e9brons le parcours remarquable de cette grande institution africaine, sous l\u2019excellente direction du Professeur Oramah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cher fr\u00e8re Oramah, votre vision, votre r\u00e9silience et votre passion pour la transformation de l\u2019Afrique ont propuls\u00e9 Afreximbank vers des sommets sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent. F\u00e9licitations pour ce travail bien accompli. Afreximbank est aujourd\u2019hui un v\u00e9ritable moteur du d\u00e9veloppement et de l\u2019int\u00e9gration de l\u2019Afrique. Nous sommes fiers de vous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je souhaite \u00e9galement rendre un hommage sinc\u00e8re \u00e0 mon compatriote, feu Babacar Ndiaye, ancien Pr\u00e9sident de la Banque Africaine de D\u00e9veloppement, dont l\u2019esprit pionnier et l\u2019engagement ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9terminants dans la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019Afreximbank. Je salue \u00e9galement tous nos a\u00een\u00e9s qui ont pris part \u00e0 cette belle aventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le th\u00e8me de notre rencontre, \u00ab L\u2019avenir du financement du d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019Afrique face aux turbulences mondiales \u00bb, est \u00e0 la fois opportun et essentiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En effet, dans un monde profond\u00e9ment troubl\u00e9 par la mont\u00e9e du protectionnisme et les tensions g\u00e9opolitiques, l\u2019Afrique a plus que jamais besoin d\u2019institutions financi\u00e8res fortes, innovantes et r\u00e9silientes comme Afreximbank pour stimuler une croissance durable, promouvoir le commerce et lib\u00e9rer tout le potentiel de notre continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alors que nous c\u00e9l\u00e9brons le pass\u00e9, soyons unis et tournons-nous r\u00e9solument vers l\u2019avenir, en nous appuyant sur notre force collective, nos talents et notre foi en l\u2019Afrique.
